How this is calculated
Single-sink vanities need a minimum of about 24 inches of width to function comfortably; double-sink vanities need at least 60 inches so the two basins and faucets don't crowd each other. We recommend leaving roughly 3 inches of clearance on each side to a wall or fixture.
Comfort sizing
For a single vanity, 30–36 inches is a comfortable everyday width. For a double vanity, 72–84 inches gives each person real elbow room.
